Domain Name Registration
If you do not already own a domain name for your website, I will assist you in choosing and registering your domain name under your own account.

WordPress is currently my “go to” platform for web design and the majority of the websites listed on my Portfolio page are based on this. I recommend the use of WordPress for several reasons:
- WordPress is regularly updated to current html standards.
- Plugins are available to perform any number of specialized functions from SEO to e-commerce and more.
- With a bit of guidance, you – the website owner – can make many simple updates to your website on your own, saving time and money.
Website design services are billed at an hourly rate. I offer a free initial consultation, preferably with the Pre-design Form filled out, and will prepare an estimate of the cost of your website design and time needed to complete the design.
Website Content Management
I strongly recommend the use of WordPress as a Content Management System. This user-friendly blog platform serves as the foundation for millions of websites worldwide. WordPress allows the website owner to make updates and changes without an extensive knowledge of HTML. WordPress, its themes and plugins are updated on a regular basis, ensuring that your website is built on a foundation that uses the most current industry standards.
The vast majority of the websites shown on my Portfolio page are WordPress-based. While it may not be easy for someone without a knowledge of HTML to use WordPress to build a website, it is fairly easy to maintain and update a website using WordPress. I provide basic instructions and training in the use of WordPress to maintain your website.
Search Engine Optimization & Marketing
Search engine optimization (SEO) is kept in mind throughout the design process. Your role is to work with me to develop the “keywords” that will be used throughout the site’s content to allow search engines to more accurately categorize your site. I also provide information to educate website owners in basic SEO/SEM and to assist them in performing this work themselves.
Social Media & Email Marketing
Social media is one of the most important tools you can use to reach out to your current and future customers. It allows you to tell your story – in words and images – in a way that helps your audience to connect with your business. I can help you set up and maintain social media accounts.
Email marketing can be a valuable tool for communicating with your customers. I can assist with setting up email accounts and templates for campaigns and newsletters.

Like domain name registration, I encourage you to establish a website hosting account in your own name. I can assist you in choosing a reliable hosting service and opening an account.
Website Traffic Statistics
Once your website is launched, the work is not over. It’s important to analyze how well your website is doing. There are a number of ways to access this type of service, including through your website hosting service and Google analytics.
Website Maintenance
Like most businesses and organizations, yours is likely to be a dynamic entity and your website should reflect that. I can provide a periodic review and update of your website at an interval that is appropriate for you and your organization. For WordPress users, I provide information on how to manage regular maintenance such as site backup and updates.
